Vision Statement
By providing a continuum of care, Shalom House will end chronic homelessness for mentally ill/chemically dependent women in St. Louis. Additionally, Shalom House will help educate the community on these issues and serve as an advocate on behalf of our clients.
Philosophy of Metro’s Programs
To promote the development of supportive services and housing, including innovative approaches to assist homeless persons in the transition from homelessness, and to promote the provision of supportive housing to homeless persons to enable them to live as independently as possible.
Metro Provides Social Justice Ministry

Our Client Population Consists of Homeless Women Who:
- Suffer from Mental, Physical, Developmental, Neurological, and Psychological Conditions and Disabilities
- Live in Poverty
- Suffer from Chronic Homelessness
- Are from various racial and ethnic backgrounds
